Believe it or not, we’re just a few months away from another holiday season. And with it comes what you might call “Christmas movie season”.

Which is what inspired me to compile this ultimate Christmas movies bucket list.

From timeless classics like It’s a Wonderful Life to festive comedies like Home Alone, these films are perfect for cozy nights by the fire.

Get ready to fill up your favorite mug with hot cocoa, pop some corn, and settle in because this one is a doozy!

A Quick Note

While most of the movies on this list are family-friendly, some are meant to be enjoyed once the kiddos are in bed. For your convenience, I’ve included the ratings of each title to help you determine which might be appropriate for your family.

This is a live-action adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s beloved story, featuring Jim Carrey as the Grinch, a grumpy creature who despises Christmas and plots to steal it from the Whos of Whoville. The Home Alone films are a Christmas tradition in our household, and we really like Noelle and The Santa Claus(e) series as well.
